Ontario Tourism Minister Neil Lumsden introduced on Tuesday that the Science Centre could be transferring to Ontario Place, as a part of the transformation of the tourism spot. He stated development would start in 2025 and the centre would stay open to the general public.
He was joined by Premier Doug Ford and Infrastructure Minister Kinga Surma.
Ford stated the science centre “actually must be revamped,” and urged he’s eyeing its present web site for housing.
In the meantime, Ontario Place, which first opened in 1971, was closed to the general public in 2012 after years of monetary losses.
