Tate regrets way in which relationship with artists ended | Art

It was disappointing to learn the article which describes allegations that Tate denies (‘They moved to silence and erase’: artists who sued Tate converse out, 7 August).

I do know Tate regrets the best way by which the connection with these artists ended and has apologised to them for it. On condition that a lot stays disputed, I’m happy that the scenario was resolved earlier than prices mounted for all involved.

Tate Alternate – the broader programme of which this was a component – was at all times meant as an open-ended experiment. Learnings from it have now knowledgeable actions throughout the entire organisation. Removed from ending in “acrimonious circumstances”, it has led to the creation of latest posts devoted to neighborhood and partnership work, which is able to strengthen Tate’s potential to efficiently ship new tasks of this sort in future.
