ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota regulators have signed off on larger electrical and pure fuel costs for Xcel Power residential prospects.
The state Public Service Fee issued a information launch Thursday saying the utility had requested to extend electrical charges by 9.4% and pure fuel charges by 4.9%. The fee stated it has authorized an interim electrical fee enhance of 6.4% and an interim pure fuel fee enhance of three.9%. All advised, the interim will increase will translate to $5.54 extra a month for common electrical prospects and 60 cents extra a month for common fuel prospects.
Xcel needs to boost electrical charges by 21.2% and pure fuel charges by 6.6%. The fee expects to make ultimate selections on these requests in 2023. State regulation authorizes public utilities to get well interim charges whereas the panel evaluates a full fee request.
